Cumberland Cup details

Carlisle's Cumberland Cup second-round tie against Mirehouse Juniors is scheduled for much sooner, on Tuesday, October 27. That match will be held at Carlisle City's Gillford Park ground with a 7.45pm kick-off. Entry will be £3 payable on the gate.

These cup fixtures arrive as Carlisle are in strong form, sitting 11th in the National League with 20 points from 14 games. Their recent fixtures show an unbeaten run of five matches, with four wins and a draw. They host second-placed Harrogate Town this Wednesday, October 28, in a key league encounter before turning their attention to the cup competitions. The team's record of five wins, five draws, and four losses this season has yielded a positive goal difference of four, having scored 25 goals and conceded 21. Their recent form, reading four wins and a draw from their last five, includes a 2-1 victory over Solihull Moors on Saturday 24 October, with goals from M. Feeney and D. Ajiboye, and a 2-1 win against Tamworth on Saturday 17 October. This strong run has them on a two-game winning streak, though they remain 18 points behind the league leaders Boreham Wood in the title race.
